This is a cameo brooch with an 800 silver base.
The cameo part is presumed to be a shell cameo made from shells based on its color and shape.
The profile of a woman is delicately carved out of a natural seashell.
The brand and era are unknown, but it is thought to have been imported to the UK from continental Europe.
