Smith is a historic British manufacturer that has been making watches since the days of pocket watches. Although it stopped manufacturing watches for a while, it resumed its own manufacturing in the UK after World War II.

This is a gold-colored dress watch from around 1970.
It is a 15-jewel Smith mechanical movement type called ASTRAL.
The combination of a silver dial, gold Arabic indexes, and blue hands is a design that seems familiar yet is quite rare.
It is unknown whether it has been overhauled, but the balance wheel is in good condition and ticks along smoothly.
