This is a sterling silver jewelry box made in Birmingham, England in 1926.
The maker is unknown as the hallmark has faded with wear.
Sterling silver with sky blue enamel.
The decoration, called guilloche, has a very beautiful transparent background pattern.
The interior is lined with scratch-resistant purple velvet and the gold plating on the inside of the lid is still in good condition.
It's small, so it's the perfect size for storing small jewelry such as rings and earrings.
