We will introduce antique British pocket watches.

This is a key-wound pocket watch with a pure silver case made in 1881.
The movement is engraved with what appears to be the name of the city of Colne and J. Cowgill, but no further details are available. Britain, known as the world's factory in the 19th century, was home to many now-defunct watchmakers like this one.
The mainspring is key wound, and the time is set by inserting a key directly into the center of the hands and turning it.

It is unknown if it has been overhauled, but the balance wheel is in good condition and ticks along smoothly.

I hope this "once in a lifetime" encounter will be a special one!
