This is a Wedgwood blue (pale blue) Jasperware plate.
It seems that these were sold in 1980 as a limited edition of 10,000 pieces to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the birth of Josiah Wedgwood (1730-1795), the founder of the company.
The central figure is Josiah, surrounded by reliefs of people involved with him.
It's in good condition and is a plate that looks great as a decorative piece.
