Introducing an antique British snuff box.
This was made by Hillard & Thomason , Birmingham, England in 1878 .
It appears to be a pure silver snuff case.
The small, palm-sized, square case is beautifully carved with floral and scroll patterns all over.
The lid closes tightly and it can also be used as a pill case.
