Introducing an antique British biscuit barrel.
This work is believed to have been created by the British firm James Dixon & Sons around 1892.
The lid is engraved with a message stating that it was gifted on July 25, 1892.
The silver-plated Britannia metal body is beautifully decorated with motifs of flowers, acanthus leaves, and shells.
For a Britannia Metal biscuit barrel, it is in fairly good condition.
