Allow us to introduce this antique nurse's belt buckle.
This sterling silver nurse's belt buckle was made by "Stainton Brothers" in England in 1900.
It was used at the time to fasten the belts of nurses' uniforms, and features elegant Art Nouveau openwork and intricate hand-engraving. There are signs of repair on the back, but it has been carefully restored, and is a testament to the "inherited history" unique to antiques.
It can be used as a scarf holder, an accent for a sash belt, or even an obi clasp for a kimono, allowing for free ideas regardless of whether it's Western or Japanese.
