This substantial 11cm long bookmark, shaped like a dagger, is by Crisford & Norris, a long-established silversmith in Birmingham, England.
The handle is generously crafted from high-quality mother-of-pearl, gleaming with an iridescent luster. The silver guard features an elegant swirling design reminiscent of Art Nouveau, fitting comfortably in the hand. The blade is engraved with "SILVER." The reverse side is engraved with "BANFF," which is presumed to be the name of a town in Scotland.
Its large size makes it suitable for thick Western books and art books, and it can also serve as a paper knife on your desk. While there are minor scuffs due to age, please enjoy this as part of its antique charm.
