This sterling silver spoon is a beautiful recreation by the Francis Howard workshop of the "Trefid" style, a traditional design that emerged in England during the late 17th-century Baroque period.
In addition to the magnificent scroll relief at the end of the handle, the back of the bowl features intricately detailed acanthus patterns that appear to vine outward, along with a "rat tail" (a reinforcing spine structure). It is a piece of significant historical value, bearing the special Jubilee hallmark commemorating Queen Elizabeth II's Silver Jubilee in 1977. It is perfect not only as a teaspoon to grace your elegant afternoon tea time but also as a collector's item for those who admire the evolution of British silverware.
