1862 British Antique Sterling Silver Double Handle Mug Cup 169g Barnard
SKU: 173372660
We would like to introduce you to an antique British sterling silver mug.
This cup is called a christening cup.
It seems that it was given as a birth gift for children born into aristocratic or wealthy families.
This is a work by the very popular Bernard family, who are said to be the oldest silversmiths in the UK.
This cup has a beautiful design resembling a double-handled trophy.
The name and date 1939 are stamped on the front, but this was likely added at a later date.
It is in such good condition that it is hard to believe it was made over 150 years ago.
We hope this lovely silver cup will add some color to your everyday life!
