Introducing a British antique sterling silver card case.
This is a card case that would have been custom made by the upper class of the time.
The surface decoration is very beautiful and no two pieces are the same.
This is a work by William Neale, Chester, England, circa 1895.
The entire piece has detailed scroll carvings, and the cartouche is engraved with a monogram that is believed to be the initials of the first owner.
It is a double-door type with a cloth pocket and a celluloid board for notes inside.
