This work was created by British artist John Gilbert in the late 19th century .
This is a set of 7 pairs that appear to be fish or dessert cutlery.
Both the handle and the blade are beautifully decorated, with the pattern on the handle being particularly unique.
The handle is engraved with a monogram that appears to be the initials of the first owner.
It is in fairly good condition for an antique silver plate cutlery piece.
A cloth cutlery case is included.
