1889 British antique sterling silver double door card case, 73g, Minshull & Latimer
SKU: 202411234809
We would like to introduce you to an antique British sterling silver card case.
This is a card case that would have been custom-made for an upper-class person at the time.
The surface decoration is so beautiful that no two pieces are alike.
This work was made by Minshull & Latimer, Birmingham, England in 1889.
Both sides are decorated with intricately carved plant motifs.
One side of the center piece is cartouche-shaped and engraved with a monogram that is believed to be the initials of the first owner.
It has a double opening and an internal pocket covered in blue fabric.
The interior lining has stains and some tears, but it still functions as a card case.
It is large enough to fit current business cards without any problem and can hold about 15 business cards.
We hope that this once-in-a-lifetime encounter will be a special one!
