We would like to introduce you to an antique British sterling silver mug.
This cup is called a christening cup.
It seems that it was given as a birth gift for children born into aristocratic or wealthy families.
This is a work by the very popular Bernard family, who are said to be the oldest silversmiths in the UK and were founded in 1864.
The sides are bevelled into six sections with floral engravings, one of which is monogrammed with the initials of the first owner.
This is a beautiful cup with beautifully carved decorations on the legs and handle.
