A button hook is a tool that makes it easier to fasten buttons even when wearing gloves.

This work was created by Henry Matthews of Birmingham, England in 1897.
With a total length of about 24cm, it is quite large for a button hook.
The sterling silver handle is embossed with a scroll design.
The plating on the steel hooks is thin in some areas, but there is no rust or other damage.
