1854 British antique sterling silver mug with floral decoration, 163g, John Evans II
SKU: 202506285509
We would like to introduce a pure silver mug from the British antique collection.
The cup is called a christening cup (baptismal cup).
It seems that these were given as birth gifts to children born into wealthy families, such as those of the nobility.
This is a work by " John Evans II " from London, England, in 1854.
The sides feature four cartouches, two of which are adorned with beautiful floral carvings.
The overall form is beautiful, the gold plating on the inside is well-preserved, and the item is in good condition.
I hope this "once-in-a-lifetime" encounter will lead to a special meeting for you!
