1888 British Antique, Pure Silver Case, Key-Wind, Large Pocket Watch, 56mm Diameter, Good Working Condition.

We would like to introduce you to some antique pocket watches from the UK.

This is a key-wind pocket watch made in 1888 with a solid silver case.
The mechanism had no manufacturer's markings, so I couldn't find out much about it. In 19th-century Britain, known as the world's factory, many such now-defunct watchmakers existed.
The watch is wound with a key, and the time is set by inserting the key directly into the center of the hands and turning it.
With a diameter of 56mm and a weight of 168g, this is a fairly large and substantial pocket watch.
While the overhaul history is unknown, the pendulum swings well, and the clock is ticking vigorously.

- Case markings: The case bears hallmarks indicating that it is made of sterling silver by the Assay Office of the United Kingdom.
- Dial: The dial is in very good condition, with no cracks or missing lettering.
- Other: The crystal is made of mineral glass and has a chip near the 6 o'clock position.
