Introducing an antique British pocket watch.

This is a sterling silver hunter-cased, key-wound pocket watch by "Joseph Johnson" of Liverpool, England, circa 1860. Based on the case and movement, it appears to be an import from Switzerland.
The finely detailed lattice engraving covering the entire case is beautiful, and opening the lid reveals a splendid dial with elegant floral patterns harmonizing with gold ornamentation. Even after more than 160 years, its intricate mechanism, ticking along with a pleasant sound, brings the luxurious comfort unique to antiques into daily life.

The overhaul history is unknown, but the balance wheel swings well, and it ticks along energetically.
